Test… On Privacy

My name is Rowan Nolan, and I am from a different time. I am in the middle of my medical transition, and I believe that one stay in a cheap motel has transferred me between years to the frighteningly futuristic 2020. The last calendar I saw, which to me was only yesterday, read that the current year was 1979; suffice to say, you may understand my overwhelming confusion.

I have located mailing names for just a few people I recognize, and if you are seeing this message, you must be one. All that I ask, if you are able to make contact through this portal… or, website, rather, is that you help me understand the news. I, as a transgender man, am too big of a target to seek help from the tabloids and media, and I do not want to be famous, but simply to go home. While I spend my time here, however, I must know how the future has developed. Am I just as ‘safe’ on the street as in 1979? Have the repercussions of Vietnam finally settled some peace over the world?

I am not sure that I want even to know what became of Jimmy Carter. That man stood by the democrats, but had no investment in a tiny old life like mine. Who is the current president? I will do my best to investigate the papers, but the trip outside may just give me a heart attack.
